The following is what I see as ‘the Writing on the Wall’:

In next two to five years (at the most), a belligerent China shall issue an ultimatum to India to vacate & hand over Arunachal Pradesh to them. It would be preceded by a number of skirmishes along Arunachal – Tibet border and would culminate in an open war after issue of an ultimatum by China. Is India prepared to thwart Chinese intensions? NO. Does India have the capability to stop China annexing Arunachal Pradesh. Answer: A resounding NO. The dooms day scenario is not over. In conjunction with Chinese onslaught in the North East, Pakistan would launch an offensive in the West; at the end of which, it would have successfully grabbed J&K. And that is not the end. Bangla Desh, a nation of Bengali Muslims liberated by India, would join China & Pakistan and attack our soft underbelly in the East and would annex the Districts of Silchar, Kachar & Sylhet of Assam, stating they are Muslim majority areas, which in fact should have been part of East Pakistan in 1947 itself.

Can we avoid being raped? YES, provided the three Service Chiefs show or display Dham (ie.courage) in catching the Bull by its Horns. The Bull here is the Govt. comprising the Politicians and the Bureaucrats. Lest I be mis-understood, I am NOT advocating a Military Coup. There can not be any thing more disastrous than a Military Coup; for, when one looks around, it would be crystal clear, that in history, no Country has ever prospered under Military Rule. One does not have to go very far to grasp the Truth. Pakistan, Bangla Desh & Burma are classic examples as to what depths a Country can sink, once the Generals take over a Country. Who are to be blamed for the sorry mess we are in? No prizes for guessing! It is the three Service Chiefs, past & present. It is a misconception that Loyalty by the three Service Chiefs means that, Loyalty to the Govt. ruling the Country. Wrong. Absolutely WRONG. Loyalty means, Loyalty to the Nation, Loyalty to the People of the Country and NOT Loyalty to any individual or a Group of Individuals forming a Govt, who could not care less about the Country.

Our Service Chiefs have long forgotten the famous saying of Field Marshal Lord Philip Chetwode:
"The Safety, Honour and Welfare of your Country
come first, always and every time.
The Honour, Welfare and Comfort of the Men you command come next.
Your own ease, Comfort and Safety come last, always and every time"

History tells us that what ever gains we made on the battlefield on account of Thyaag, Balidaan & Kurbaani by the Soldiers; the Politician & Bureaucrats put together, meekly surrendered or gave away the gains at the negotiating table; whether it was 1948 Ops, the 1965 War or the 1971 War with Pakistan. We as a Nation will NEVER learn from our past mistakes. Who is responsible for this sad state? Again no prizes for guessing! It is the three Service Chiefs, past & present. But why? The answer is simple. As long as the three Service Chiefs look for crumbs after retirement by way of appointments as Governors of States in the Indian Union or for plum Ambassadorial posts to countries like Guatemala, Honduras or Nicaragua; I am sorry! I mean, to countries like: El Salvador, Costa Rica or Belize!! Are the Chiefs in any way concerned whether India as a Nation survives or exists or is wiped out? Answer: Regretfully, NO. As long as they can play Golf in the Morning and sip their Scotch in the evening, the Country called Bharath, can go to Hell !! Am I being too harsh on the Service Chiefs, past & present? I leave it for you to decide. The question then is: What do you want the three Service Chiefs to do? The answer is very simple: The three Service chiefs must meet the President and the Prime Minister and seek an appointment to give a presentation, first to the Cabinet and then to the Members of Parliament (both Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha) as to the state of Military Preparedness and the measures that are urgently needed to be taken to stem the rot and bolster our Defence capabilities. And in case, the President or the Prime Minister refuses to grant the three Service Chiefs the approval to render a Presentation to Members of Parliament; the only option they have is to put in their papers, ie. resign. And after resigning, the three former Service Chiefs must hold a PRESS MEET and let go at the Government. Well that calls for having Bravo Alfa Lima Lima Sierra! I once again leave it to you to decide whether the three Service Chiefs, past & present, have Bravo Alfa Lima Lima Sierra or not!!
