Indian People

There are not too many bad people in India,
but the problem is that :

There are too many good people in India,
who do not speak up about bad deeds,
of bad people

A Thought on Corruption
That
Truly Applies to India

"When you know that
in order to produce,
you need to obtain permission,
from men who produce nothing,
when you see that money is flowing
to those who deal not in goods
but in favours,
when you see that men get rich
more easily by graft
rather than by work,
and your laws no longer
protect you against them,
but protect them against you,
then you know that
your society is doomed."

Ayn Rand in Atlas Shrugged

Thought for Today,

Even when your dreams seem
impossible to reach,
try anyway, you’ll be amazed
by what you can accomplish.

Thought for Today,

If you have to,
always borrow from a pessimist.
He doesn't expect
to be paid back.

Thought for Today,

Until you commit your goals to paper,
you have intentions
that are seeds without soil.

Thought for Today,

The man who does not have
anything to boast of
but his illustrious ancestors
is like a potato
the only good belonging to him
is underground.

Sir Thomas Overbury.

Thought for Today,

Each of us will one day be judged
by our standard of life,
not by our standard of living;
by our measure of giving,
not by our measure of wealth;
by our simple goodness,
not by our seeming greatness.

William Arthur Ward

Thought for Today,

It takes just as much energy
to be rotten as to be nice.
I would rather put my energy into being nice.
And I will tell you something else --
when you give energy into being nice,
you usually get more back than you give out.

George Burns.

Thought for Today,

Input influences outlook,
outlook influences output,
and output determines outcome.

Thought for Today

Everything depends on opinion :
Ambition, luxury, greed,
hark back to opinion.
It is according to opinion
that we suffer.

Seneca

Thought for Today,

Wealth is not measured

by just what we have,

but rather by what we have

for which we would not take money.

Thought for Today,

विज्ञान कहता है

"जीभ पे लगी चोट सबसे जल्दी ठीक होती है "

और

ज्ञान कहता है

"जीभ से लगी चोट कभी ठीक नहीं होती"

Thought for Today,

Anything worth doing
is worth doing poorly
until you learn to do it well.

Steve Brown

A smile is ever the most
bright and beautiful
with a tear upon it.
What is the dawn without the dew?
The tear so rendered by the smile
is precious about the smile itself.

Thought for Today,

The Phrase " Working of The Indian Governent"

is a misnomer. Govt of India stopped working

since long.

It was only looting the people.

Starting from Chaprasi to the Prime Minister

to the President all looted the People

sometimes and even all the time.

If any one expects the present setup

to bring back the Black Money

he is living in fools Paradise.

Thought for Today,

Eating dulls your hearing,
according to one doctor.
This may be nature's way of
protecting us from
after dinner speakers.

Thought for Today,

There are two ways
of spreading light:
to be the candle ,
or the mirror that reflects it.

Edith Wharton

Thought for Today,

Somebody should tell us,
right at the start of our lives,
that we are dying.
Then we might live life to the limit,
every minute of every day.
Do it! I say.
Whatever you want to do, do it now!

Michael Landon (1936 - 1991)

Thought for Today,

If every living being has the wealth,
enough for his present life,
then why deprive others of their share
and worry for future generations.

Col LK Anand Retd
