Armed Forces Parity Demand in Cold Storage
With regards to the long pending Rank Pay case with the Apex Court. Following comments are very valid. They highlight the facts clearly and show the dirty games being played by the cunning Indian bureaucracy and a dud & indifferent GoI.
1. For tomorrow's (27 April 2012) hearings on the Rank Pay case, following points may please be taken note of and if needed brought up in the Court:-
(a) GoI/MoD has been egregiously reneging on its promise of looking into the issues related to pay and status parity of Armed Forces vis-a-vis civ AIS officers despite assurance by none other than the Prime Minister after 6th pay commission report came out and caused so much heartburn and anguish to service members/veterans. The proof of this is that so-called High Powered Committee has done literally nothing for four long yrs and demand has been hanging fire since long. Proof of this is 'TIMES NOW' report. Please see

2. Even though the Hon'ble Court (moved as it was by the plight of veterans/widows) had at one point ordered constitution of AFGRC (even specifying its composition), the Court was mislead by the GoI by false assurances and hollow promises of settling all issues. And thus trusting GoI to fulfill its words Hon'ble Court retracted its earlier verdict on constitution of AFGRC.
3. Ironically, when Court asked GoI to set up AFGRC, GoI opposed it and now in case of Rank pay Case, GoI wants to delay the matter indefinitely by asking the Hon'ble Court to order a separate committee/commission to look into the issue. For how long can GoI continue to cheat its own service members/veterans? Court may well ask SG/GoI counsel as to what has been done to the issue of Armed Forces' demand of pay and status parity with AIS cadre?
4. We need to expose the Govt's insincerity, naked shamelessness and canards being spread by GoI in case of issues related to service members/veterans.
