On Gen Nathu Singh

Dear Brig Kamboj,
.
It was nice reading the biography of Gen Nathu Singh. Undoubtedly, his qualities and character as a military leader are a matter, to be proud of by one and all in the Defence services. May India have more and more officers of his caliber and nationalistic outlook. A very correct and to the point assessment of the India Oficers is highlighted in the following lines:-
.
"Little wonder, that Nathu Singh, in spite of his dislike, could only admire the British sense of fair play. He said that whenever the British said anything derogatory about India, he went for them. But he admitted, "If you take the best of them, we have never produced anyone quite like them. I have not known a British officer who placed his own interests before his country's, and I have hardly known any Indian officers, who did not."
.
Like I was, many more of the readers must have been inquisitive to know how Lt Gen Nathu Singh looked like. Well, I searched the Internet to locate his photographs and I could lay my hands, only on these two photographs which I am appending below for the benefit of our large number of viewers.
.
In the second photograph they are standing
.
L - Lt Gen Nathu Singh,
C -Lt Gen Moti Sagar &
R - Gen (Later Field Marshal) KM Cariappa.
