Unqualified spiritual cooks tend to spoil the broth !

by Zina Khan
.
Attempts to transform open ended, fluid , progressive and intellectually informed thoughts which are also spiritually inspired, into some hardened, monolithic, absolutist and obscurantist positions makes the situation clouded, distorted and deformed....
.
People do use all kinds of "jargons" but primarily it is politically motivated and is due to struggles for power over the minds and hearts of people.
.
Many muslims do care for their own heritage and history...they are also keenly sensitive to the radically altered conditions of the world....relating such heritage to contemporary conditions is a concern...traditions evolve in a context and context keeps on changing !
.
This then entails or demands a "fresh" understanding of the essential principles and it then becomes a pressing challenge which many are unable to handle.
.
Generally the leadership is weak, and is unable to properly offer guidance which is both true and relevant to the muslims based on their own historical experience and yet applicable in this technically advanced but morally turbulent and uncertain world of the present times...
.
Righteousness says the Quran is NOT only fulfilling one's religious obligations...without social responsibility (which may also be secular in nature), one's religiosity becomes a show of conceit ....Islam is BOTH - Din and Duniya...distinct but linked...neither can be forsaken !
.
The word "Shariah" in its religious use, is a path that is meant to lead to God and subsequently to Paradise....
.
NOW Allah has shown this path...the Prophet has shown this path...and so each of you need to give a concrete shape, to your own values according to "what Allah and HIS Prophet" have given and said....NOT based on your own perceptions and understanding ......or based on conjectures given !
.
Nothing wrong to use genuine and real "divine laws" as a general framework in legal or family matters....crimes or punishments etc etc but atleast first come up with one set of such Law which is common and acceptable to everyone....
.
Divine laws cannot be divergent or different between sects or communities or in any way "sectarian" in flavour but UNIVERSAL....
.
So place the horse before the cart....then debate the issue effectively....at this time the flavour is sectarian - one trying to impose his will on the other....so lets not unduly "pervert" the basic principles of Islam by pretending we are so pious.....
.
A deranged dictator who gets into a power frenzy suddenly begins to think he is charged with some divine mandate to impose his brand of Islam on people and this imposture is unleashed in a way and style as if "Islam begins and ends" with him....and then suddenly floggings begin to take place to show the lunatic means business... women are declared as "non-entities".........ideology is introduced with harsh punishments as threats...mullahs begin to applaud and $20 rentals begin to swing their forefingers at the world.....all "searchers of paradise" start rantings and ravings ..and they call this "divine laws".....divine laws come only from Allah (swt) and through HIS Prophet (saw) and his ITRAT (Rightful successors)...
.
No wonder so many do cringe with fear at just the mention of such a "rule" by which "submission" is then enacted by the dictators...route maps are drawn and it becomes virtually "Islam" not only for them but everyone on whom they roost... a one stage process for deliverance from "neocolonism" to Houris in paradise...
.
The question I raise here is "how pure is pure" coming from such impostures ?

  1. During Muslim reign in Spain there were Jewish courts and Christian courts and Muslim courts. Justice was dispensed according to the Holy Law from the Torah, Bible and the Quran. People who were Muslims chose the Quran, Jews chose the Torah and the Christians according to the Bible.

During the Mughal rule in India. There were matters that were decided according to Hindu laws for Hindus, for Shias according to the Shia laws and so also for Sunnis there was the Sunni laws.

    SECULARISM IS COMPATIBLE WITH QURAN.

WHO is to Judge, who IS a qualified ""spiritual cook"" & who is NOT ? ? ?

. . . . . During the Mughal rule in India. There were matters that were decided according to Hindu laws for Hindus, for Shias according to the Shia laws and so also for Sunnis there was the Sunni laws.

    1. Muslims have difficulty with a COMMON, NATIONAL; UNIVERSAL, LAW ? ? ?
They Insist on shariah or . . . . . , blackmail; Will NEVER BE ACCEPTED.

    SECULARISM IS COMPATIBLE WITH QURAN.\\\\\

    2. Then why are mullahs insisting on & repeating, ONLY ISLAM, ONLY ALLAH, BIGOTRY ?

. . . . . struggles for power over the minds and hearts of people.\\\

    3. THE struggle is to oppose the mullah's arrogation, to DICTATE way of life as per
his . . . . perception of Ideology or Koran, or lack of it.

. . . . NOT based on your own perceptions and understanding ......or based on conjectures given !

    4. IS Thinking by Aam Aadmi - Common Man, an alien concept in Islam ?
dictated by mullah or koran ? ? ? Promoting zombies perhaps.

. . . . . Divine laws cannot be divergent or different between sects or communities or in any way "sectarian" in flavour but UNIVERSAL....\\\\

    5. Have the mullahs been suitably enlightened & convinced of this Logic of ONE Common UNIVERSAL divine law for ALL ?

Wish mullahs are as enlightened as common Muslims are !

    Thanks for your time.

    Best Wishes.
