A letter to PM

An interesting view, difficult to disagree with. At the Nadir we are, it's only possible to rise from the ashes, only if we were to do something bold, something drastic, and not the usual mundane lip service that the PMs press conference conveyed.
.
Mr. PRIME MINISTER,
.
May I as a citizen of this country kindly request you to quit for the following reasons :-
.
1. You are not an elected leader and hence have no right to be the Prime Minister of this country. You have made a backdoor entry....this is not democracy.
.
2. You lack OLQ (Officer-like-Qualities)...I am not interseted in your personal honesty as Manmohan Singh...I am concerned regarding your integrity and moral courage as the Prime Minister....you have none.
.
3. You do not have the guts to take responsibility on behalf of your subordinates...you pass the buck...you are a petty manager and not a leader.
.
4. You are corrupt...corruption is not restricted to making monetary gains...you are devoid of innovative ideas to instil checks and balances in your governance, incapable of creating responsibility & accountability through various layers of the hierarchy.
.
5. You are weak and dishonest...you refuse to acknowledge the mistakes you have made...awareness and acknowledgement are the first steps to change, followed by the desire and political will, the knowledge and
ability and reinforce the commitment...you lack all these.
.
6. You do not have the courage to take tough decisions....you are a safe plodder...you are a survivour....you cannot take manageable risks
.
7. You lack vision....when you say that you are a victim of coalition compulsions and express helplessness with a remark that "every six months we shall have elections, if you act", you behave like a class monitor who indulges in cheap popularity....act and see the result....your party shall come back with a thumping majority.
.
8. You lack loyalty to the country...you hold your party interests above that of the country....completion of 5-year term is more vital to you rather than governance of the nation....you are a custodian of Sonia Gandhi's interests rather than growth of the underprivileged and the poor.
.
9. Blaming others is silly...let us never place the blame on others, but on our own attitudes.....Small-minded people habitually reproach others for their own misfortunes...Average people reproach themselves...Those who are dedicated to a life of wisdom understand that the impulse to blame something or someone is foolishness, that there is nothing to be gained in blaming, whether it be others or oneself.
.
10. India deserves a young dynamic leader, not a senile, subservient, sychophant....kindly do one last favour to this country....in your next cabinet reshuffle, hand in your resignation and things shall fall into place.
.
Thank you , Mr. Prime Minister !!
.
With best regards
.

  2. This is a sentiment shared by all. But then, what do you expect from a party which was formed by a foreigner, presided over division of our country, let China debacle happen, adopted suicidal economic policies (until changed by PVN, who was thrown out by this very same party), imposed Emergency, has a flawed view of nationhood etc. List is long. Now again, a foreigner ( I know this will be hotly contested by her apologists) is heading this party of opportunists.

  4. Good english, the language is very obviously that of a defence ( ARMY/NAVY/AIRFORCE) personnel and as the teaching on handling of such(ANONYMOUS) mails is to put it in the waste paper basket that is what it deserves.
The author must have the moral courage to put his identity at the end

  5. Dear Col Imtiaz,

You are right in expressing the view, that Anonymous complaints in the Army invariably used to be brushed aside/discarded. But even there you always made use of the vital information provided, to carry out an independent investigation at your own level and take action if deemed fit. Anyway, this not being an "anonymous complaint" let us not restrict the assessment more than imagination of our citizens, just because they are being posted as anonymous. Whatever facts or opinions he has stated are not far from the truth and there is no denying that the PM has displayed almost exactly all the traits listed by him. So it would be good if maximum readers also are able to have an opportunity to make an independent assessment of the performance of any one including the PM, on the basis of what has been listed by the anonymous reader/commentator.
