A Hear felt Tribute to the Brave and Valiant Indian Soldier
The below quoted are the
fitting words for those brave and valiant men who sacrificed their
life in the service of the nation during Sino-Indian War of 1962, consequent
upon the folly of a limited few. These are contained in the hoary
Regimental Tribute of the Madras
Regiment, the oldest and one of the most honoured Infantry of the Indian Army.
“Let those who come after,
see to it that these names be not forgotten,
For they who at
the call of duty, left all that was dear to them,
Endured hardships, faced dangers, and finally passed out of sight of men,
Endured hardships, faced dangers, and finally passed out of sight of men,
In the path
of duty and self-sacrifice,
Giving their lives that we might live in freedom.”
Giving their lives that we might live in freedom.”
ऐ मेरे वतन् के लोगों
ज़रा आँख् में भर् लो पानी
जो शहीद् हुए हैं उनकी
ज़रा याद् करो क़ुरबानी
