Contribution towards the Cause of IESM

Respected Gen Kadyan Sir,
.
I was very happy to learn that IESM is now poised to launch the next phase of our battle for OROP. We all the members of IESM expect that all our dedicated office bearers would now go all out to launch the campaign in an unabated manner, taking advantage of all the factors in our favour, till we finally achieve the goal, which we have set before ouselves ie to get the OROP for all the ESMs. I am hopeful the Rank Pay case would also come through sooner than later.
.
Sir, as a gesture of my good will and humble support to the cause of IESM in this venture, I have decided to contribute Rs 500 every month out of my pension, till the time we are able to fulfil this goal or till my death, if the Government continues to heap injustices upon the IESM and deprives them of their rightful demand for OROP. I am sure our fight for justice would carry on regardless till the end.
.
The amount of Rs 500 would be deposited every month, in the Bank Acct maintained by the IESM. May I request you Sir, to let me know the Bank and Acct No in which you would like me to deposit the amount.
.
With kindest regards and best wishes for an early success in our noble venture.
.
Yours Sincerely,
.

  1. My Dear Brig Kamboj,

I had sent the following mail to Lt Gen Kadyan a few days back, as a gesture of my good will and support to the next phase of our fight for OROP. Unfortunately, I have got no reply from him so far, to enable me to commence my contribution. I presume he may not have received it. Could you please help me, so that I could do my bit for the IESM.

    With best wishes.

  2. Dear Col Anand,

Gen Kadyan does not dealwith membership of the funds.

Membership, membership records and IESM funds are dealt by Gen Satbir, Wg Cdr CK Sharma and Cdr Sharan Ahuja.

I am forwarding your email to Governing Body IESM. Gen Satbir and Wg Cdr Sharma will soon respond to your email below.

    Regards.

    Dear Brig Kamboj,

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

I have also got an equally prompt response from the governing body, happily accepting my intention of contribution towards IESM, which I shall be starting very soon.

To say that Gen Kadyan does not deal with membership funds, can not be a cause for total silence on his part on the issue. Undoubtedly, I am a little hurt at the total lack of response from the Chairman IESM to my mail, for whom I have always had the greatest of regards right from NDA days, and whom I thought, it was most appropriate to address my mail, to express my intention for Contribution towards IESM, in my humble way. Even if he did not consider it expedient to thank me for my good will and gesture, he could certainly have acknowledged my mail and asked me to approach the right person or passed it on to any one in the IESM Governing body to enable me to start my contribution.

Please pardon me for being frank in expressing my feelings.

My first contribution of Rs 1500 shall be credited in IESM Acct tomorrow, as it would take 24 hours for approval of beneficiary. 4. Dear Sir

A mail from Col Anand is reproduced below.

I request all to follow Col Anands foot steps and the fence sitters to jump in and join.

My personal thanks to Col Anand for his generosity and the support to IESM.

Well the proponents of Reduced fees would like to rethink. We keep getting members who are much more generous than we think they are.

I hope these gentleman who want to reduce fees will not raise the issue again ever.

    Respected Gen Kadyan Sir,

Thanks a lot for your response now, from your busy schedule and your words of encouragement and kindness. I feel great now and have already deposited Rs 1500 in the IESM Acct No given to me, as my first contribution for three months. Future deposits would be done quarterly without fail, according to the schedule suggested by your finance members. I have no doubt in my mind that all the contributions will be well and appropriately utilised.

I would always be behind you Sir, to support the cause of OROP, till the IESM achieves desired success.

Please pardon me for being over emotional, without rally appreciating / realising your busy schedule.

My best of luck and good wishes for an early success in our mission for fight against injustice.

I also express my sincere gratitude to all the members of the Governing body who have responded to my mail.

    With fondest regards.

    Yours Sincerely.

  5. Gp Capt Vinod Gandhi, Dear Wg Cdr CKS, & Cdr Sharan Ahuja,

I am really happy and delighted to know that more and more members are coming forward for monthly depositswith IESM, and I am sure that the financial health of IESM would now improve substantially. This should also encourage IESM for more dynamic actions.

However, I had a suggestion for the GB.In this connection,I am reproducing below my mail sent on 23 Sep 2010, after receipt of mail from Gen Kadiyan. I had addressed the mail to all the members of the GB. Unfortunately, I got no acknowledgement from any one, especially of the receipt of Rs 1500 in the IESM bank acct, which I expected from the IESM Treasurer at least.

I feel the normal courtsey of ack the mail and receipt of the amount, should have been extended. This is the least any one who sends a mail/amount expects. A total silence from all members of GB, is at least beyond my comprehension. An ack or a reply even if one is too busy, tends to boost the morale of the sender, if nothing else.

May I request the treasurer to at least, now confirm receipt of Rs 1500 in the IESM acct from me, on or around 23-24 Sept 2010.

    Thanking you.

    Dear Col Anand

You have taken a lead in donating Rs 1500 per year to IESM. We thankyou very much for that. I am sure many more veterans would like to emulate you.

Wg Cdr CK Sharma is already in touch with you. In a different mail he has already explained to you that it takes us few days to connect every entry in the bank with individual. I am sure he must have already sent you a mail confirming receipt of your donationor else you will very soon hear from him.

    Dear Gp Capt Gandhi,

With due apologies, I would like to correct you, that my contribution is not Rs 1500 per year but Rs 500 pm till the OROP is granted or till my death. This amounts to Rs 1500 per quarter or Rs 6000 per year. If you wish to communicate this information any where else please do so correctly. I have got mail from CKS and I would inform him the details he requires shortly.

    Thanks.

  6. Dear Gp Capt Gandhi,

Reference your message below regarding IESM being short of funds. I expect this would be an ongoing problem for the IESM since there is no source of regular income.

I would like to make a suggestion to solve this problem. If each member contributes just Rs.10 from his monthly pension and if we have, say, 5000 members, that will be an income of Rs.50,000 per month. Rs.10 per month is a very affordable sum for ANY veteran irrespective of rank. The only thing that needs to be worked out is how will members make this monthly transfer? If you can work out some way with the bank this may be a way out.

    My humble suggestion.

I am willing to contribute Rs 100 every month. Let me know how I can send this to you.

    Best regards

    Dear Group Captain Gandhi,

Vidya has given a good suggestion. Kindly work out the modalities.

In the meantime whoever wishes to contribute can only do so if you forward the IESM saving bank account number, name of the account holder, RTGS number, bank name, bank code, place(city with pin code). The aim is to make an electronic transfer. Kindly do so and send me a message on my mobile 9779458899, as i also wish to make a monthly / quarterly contribution to IESM like Vidya.

Step on the gas please! It goes without saying that the IESM is doing great work and we all need to support it's activities in the interest of all Veterans.

    Dear Veteran Inderjit Dhillon

It is definitely like music to ears when we get a feed back that veterans are happy with the work and initiatives of IESM. Thank you very much for the encouraging words and also the offer for donation. I am forwarding your mail to Wg Cdr CK Sharma Treasurer, who is centrally dealing with funds anddonations. You will soon hear from him.

I am certain more veterans will come forward and help themselves by helping IESMfinancially and by there presence in the rallies.

Wg Cdr CK Sharma; For your action please

Dear Gp Capt Gandhi and Wg Cdr CK Sharma,

The suggestion of Vidya is very good and appreciable, for getting a regular and unending contributions/donations from the various levels of members of IESM. I suggest a little modification to that and I would recommend contributions to be only on voluntary basis and on a sliding scale as under. I am confident that, all our members would be easily able to afford and sacrifice, this much of regular contribution/donation from their already meagre pension:-

    ( a ) Other Ranks - Rs 10 pm or Rs 120 annually.
    ( b ) JCOs and Equivalent - Rs 25 pm or Rs 300 annually.
    ( c ) Officers - Rs 100 pm or Rs 1200 annually.

Any one who wishes to contribute more or even less should be welcome to do so.

You should also make out an upto date (Updated quarterly)nominal roll of the contributors / donors, and inform all members to have a look at it at the website, whenever they want to, and feel satisfied that their name exists in the list and that, upto date contribution is correctly recorded in it. It may inspire, the non contributors so far, also to start giving something for the IESM activities.

I am sure, with this the IESM Governing Body and the office bearers would also be encouraged, to speed up their activities to achieve their set goals faster.

Best of luck to all our gallant office bearers.

    Best regards.
